Ibersid is a research conference and is structured along the lines of problems and interest centres, especially those that can have a crosscutting interest for different disciplines and kinds of information and documentation centres.
The conference concept synthesizes the complexity of the information and documentation sciences and professions in a thematic structure that considers four variables: level of analysis, process, kind of information service or centre, and thematic area of specialization and application. On the other hand, the professionals and academics interested in those subjects have been organized in different disciplines with their own diverging or overlapping interests.
